Concrete Pressure Washing

Why Wash Concrete?

In short, washing concrete is good for your home's curb appeal, your health, your concrete's health, and for safety.

Increase Your Homes Value and Curb Appeal

A home’s appearance is a strong driver of value. By removing unsightly mold, mildew, mud and other dirt from a building the value is greatly affected. A clean home is more inviting, and creates a much more pleasant outside experience. Let others admire your homes beauty, whether they are just driving by, or welcomed guests.

Keep Your Family Healthy

Organic growth loves to find its way onto concrete and plant its roots into the surface. Dark colored bacteria growth often is perceived as just dirt. Spores from growth can cause negative health effects, especially for those with allergies or that are already sick. Many organisms that grow on homes and concrete release air-borne toxins that cause various symptoms when breathed in. Prolonged exposure may lead to vomiting, diarrhea, rash, eye irritation, cough, sore throat, or a headache. By washing exterior surfaces like concrete, we remove harmful mold, algae, bacteria and other organic organisms thus reducing symptoms

Protect Your Concrete

Concrete is an expensive component of a house. The national average cost for a new concrete driveway is over $3,000 without including the cost to tear out an existing driveway. This is why protecting your concrete is an important step in home-ownership. Moss, mold, and bacteria will slowly eat into the surface of concrete. Overtime, the surface will become brittle and more prone to cracks or chipping. A great way to protect concrete from damage is to seal it.

Keep Your Loved Ones Safe

Even more important than the life of your concrete is the life of your friends, family, and visitors. Too much organic buildup is a serious hazard. A little rain on moss or algae becomes a slippery mess. A slip and fall from someone on your property not only leads to hard feelings, but could also result in a more serious situation. Breaking a bone is not an uncommon outcome form a short fall onto a hard surface. A medical bill, and the trauma that comes with it, is a much higher cost compared to regularly washing a driveway and sidewalk. Pressure washing away buildup brings back traction so slipping is much less likely, saving you and your loved ones from unexpected injuries.

Our Concrete Pressure Washing Process

Protecting your property is an important first step. We start by making sure there is nothing that will impede our washing process or be a concern once we start. We make sure any vegetation nearby is rinsed down and protected when necessary to prevent any damage. Once we have ensured everything is ready we may pretreat the concrete with our detergents if there is heavy buildup or oil. Then we use our pressure washing equipment to remove dirt and organics from the surface. We then rinse loosened debris to a controlled location for latter cleanup. To ensure that microscopic spores are eliminated and to remove any streaking we apply a coating of our detergent again and have a final rinse before cleaning up any debris.
