House Washing

House Washing With High or Low Pressure?

Pressure washing isn’t always about using high pressure. Each surface can handle a different amount of pressure. We use low pressure treatments to clean houses without causing unnecessary stress on siding. By using extremely high pressure to clean a house’s exterior, this can result in cracked siding and water damage. One of the most common issues from high pressure is due to oxidation. When siding is oxidized, the surface becomes chalky and discolored. Putting pressure on the surface will leak streaks by displacing some of the oxidation, making it uneven and clearly noticeable.

Low Pressure Benefits

  1. No worsening of oxidation – By using low pressure, we do not displace any oxidation in our normal house wash. This means any prior discoloration will not get worse from our cleaning. If you opt for oxidation removal, then we use a separate treatment after cleaning to seemingly melt away oxidation.
  2. No chipping, cracking, or breaking – With lower pressure, brick won’t chip and vinyl won’t crack.
  3. Reduced chance of water damage – Loose siding, compromised seals, and pre-existing cracks can all be causes of water damage. high pressure can increase the chance of water getting through. Our low pressure treatment and prechecks help to reduce any possibility of water damage.

Here are some jobs where we used our soft washing technique

This job in South Bend had an awning with thick greenery. We lightly treated the area, and the growth melted away.
